I'm in new Orleans any my roommates buddy got arrested last night with a couple grams and two grinders (don't ask me why). We need to bail his ass out later today how much do you think it's going to be?

It would be 10% on a major crime but it it was something simple he would see a judge and get released with his signature.
I can't see someone paying a few hundred bucks just to get out a few hours early. Just wait till you can see the judge (which is first thing weekday mornings). Good thing its not a weekend.

He's still not out. Every bail bonds company in the area says that there system is down (they can't take business) due to the bad weather. This is absurd. Im sorry New Orleans, but you are about 10 years behind California when it comes to technology. Pathetic.

And the jail itself temporarily cannot accept direct payment. That means no cash, no credit, not shit. "Sorry for the inconvenience." So he's in real jail now, not just the central lock up.

It took me only 1 weekend in jail to learn never to carry drugs on me.
In some cases it has to be done but I'm very very careful if I do it.
I also make sure my vehicle is legal every which way and backwards.
I actually check the headlights every-time I drive at night.
I know its crazy, but I can't risk getting another ding on my record.

Not sure about official charges. I am curious too, but he is pretty shaken and I'm not especially close to him so I'm not about to go asking him. I will mos def keep you all updated. I want to know if they are going to charge him for paraphernalia as well as cannabis. I also want to know if his university will be alerted, cuz he would probably get expelled (he already has a drinking violation with them).

hemo- that cool that you are in NOLA. Then again, kind of of not cool as well b/c they are so against trees here. My roommates friend is actually at Loyola. My roommate was with him when he got busted, and the police said that there are many people in the houses who call the police when they see people smokin tree. That is so weak I never worried about people calling the police in Cali. The cops even said it was safe to smoke by the levy or in abudon park.

mid city is pretty chill too.
the only time I ever got busted here, knock on wood, the cops found some pot in my wallet cuz I was with the wrong people in the wrong place. i didnt even remember it was there. i try and be careful now though.
