 Why does it seem everyone is trying to break into my house...

I finished moving a few weeks ago but I swear all my windows now have screwdriver esque bends in the middle of them and I just came home to one wit ha fresh bend hanging out at 30 degrees and one of its metal hangers on the ground under the window... Locked of course.
This only happens when I leave my house which is like 2 hours every 3 days or so. All other times at least I am in the house if not others.
Any suggestions aside from a dog?
I have plenty of firepower should I ever catch someone, so thats not an issue.

yea it sounds like someone you know. Most of the time people in the neighborhood wouldn't attempt to break in someone's house that only left for a few hours a week. Unless they knew for sure what they were getting into. If you get what I'm saying. Hell I'm barely at my house and no one attempts to break in, but they try to break into the empty houses on both sides all the time. But if it remains a problem I say get a dog.

The friend idea actually does sound more plausible. I just suggested the bad part of town b/c had a friend that lived in the bad part of Austin for a while, always had people trying to bust into his house, even while he was sleeping.

you can buy some brinks security or some other home security stickers and put them on the windows and doors.
