 Space Case Pollen Press questions

I know hash isn't just compressed kif but i couldn't find a better section.
Anyhow i bought a space case pollen press that presses kif into discs. I put some in, closed it up tight, but it doesnt really form a disc. I added a bunch more loosened it up then pressed it back down. Should i leave it for a day then see how it is? Also how do you remove the disc without completely destroying it? This thing pretty much just presses it but there doesnt look like a good way to get the disc out.

when you press "keif" its considered "hash".....anyway ive never used a press i usually just put it under a chairs leg sit on it and keep flipping every now and then....apply some heat too so it gets activated, and the trichomes melt together easier

if it didn't come out like a disc then what is it like? You may have just not used enough kief.

Theres a magnetic cylinder that pushes it down. Some kif sticks to the cylinder some sticks to what its pushed against. It looks like enough for a disc but i cant retrieve a solid disc.

Did you try putting a round paper disc on each side of where the finished product will be? This way you can just peel it off after.

what you do is tighten it down leave it for a couple of hours and tighten it again repeat till you cant tighten anymore.

Haven't been on the boards for awhile. I've made a few really good discs.
Step 1. Collect 4 times the amount of Kif you think it would take.
Step 2. Place the kif on one side and press it down.
Step 3. Use a hair dryer to heat up the side you are working with
Step 4. Let it cool and sit for hours so its a nice hard disc with a good hash finish on it.
Step 5. Get high.

I just put electrical tape around the sides and soak it in hot tap water (~120f) for like 30 mins then tighten it again and let it sit till it cools

i broke my spacecase on accident. damn threads stripped on me. i didn't like the tool anyways cuz i ran into the same problem. only thing that worked was throwing it in the freezer 10-20 minutes & then openinging the press.

Mine works great. I just keep adding keif and tightening the press. Once I have a nice sized pressed log I put the press in a ziplock sandwich bag, bring some water to a light boil. Remove from heat and drop in the bag. Let cool to room temp, remove from water and enjoy.

Bubbleman now sells a dry sifting kit that is CHEAP, and you can get a much higher quality sift than with a Space Case.
I know the SC's work ok, but if you're ready to take a step up from the world of "kief", you can get full melt from those sifting screens.
