 When to flower clones?

I have taken clones on 3-1 and 3-3. I want to find out if the plants I took them from are male or female.
The clones or already standing up.
When should they be put under 12/12 ?

I don't know which is better but I have gone to flower as soon as I saw roots on the clones.
This last grow I did I veg. for 30 days first.
I have read many cases of both ways but don't know which is the best.

You can do either as stoney said. As soon as you see roots you can flower if you want...Just the more you veg the bigger plants you will have...

If you just took the clones JUST for sexing of the parent plants, go ahead and flower now.

The clones from 3-1 look good. leaves standing up. Sure they are ready to go. The 3-3 clones still have the limp leaves. Center, new growth, leaves are standing up on them. Maybe another day or two then they go into 12/12 light.

Cool. Normally you would want to see a nice root system on the rockwool or jiffy cubes before you move them to bigger pots even. That just promotes vigor and faster growth. For sexing purpose, it looks like ya got it whipped.

If your just sexing you can start 12/12 from the seconed you take the cutting.

In your experience magash, how long does it take to show sex if you go straight to 12/12 with clones? I tried it once and didn't see results after 2 weeks so I scraped the idea. If it takes longer than 2 weeks I can't see this being a viable plan as sex will show on the mothers at four weeks anyway.

I've done it a few times. For me it always took 2 to 3 weeks or so but at this point there isn't a vegging plant I can't sex.

You can, but even closet growers can portion off a small section, string up some T5 or T8 lights, and use thick poly as a door. I don't like the idea of using trash bags because of humidity and the hassle. Also, it would take several layers of bags. They aren't exactly light proof.
