This site is now not any more active than it was a month after it went up.
No matter how hard you try this site will never be another shroomery, because stoners don't take shit as seriously as "shamans".
Sorry just throwing a bit of reality at you.
Ruin the site if you want I dont really give two shits.
BTW I'm happy to return and see so many OTD regulars here.
At least they will provide some entertainment, as long as you dont ban them too.

Iamasmoker was alright, but definitely a moron
kidaihuan was not entertaining in any way
he was an underage fool that craved attention and tried desperately to "fit in"
i've been here from day 1, like you, and i love this place
i'm sure wowitch will be back, eventually

That is not quite true. Though the forums themselves may not be showing an increase in posting activity, the number of unique visitors the Growery is receiving each month has in fact shown a steady increase every month since the site debuted, with the exception of a significant spike in June 2008.
As for the forum activity, I don't think any of us were honestly expecting the site to take off like a rocket. It takes time to build content, which is what will ultimately be responsible for attracting a consistent influx of new members. It should be noted that the first month of activity here is also somewhat of an anomaly, since it was so heavily promoted on our sister site from which several hundred people registered immediately (something that would never have happened if we didn't have said Shroomery launchpad).
I am certain that this site will go through several changes as it continues to grow over the coming months and years, and given past experience I'm certain that most of these changes will cause at least some portion of the membership to be unhappy. That's just the nature of the world we live in. I surely cannot remember a time when everyone was happy all of the time; either here on the internet or in the three-dimensional society we operate within every day.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. And if you really want to help the site attract a wider variety of members which will in turn make the social forums more interesting, think about participating in our Grow the Growery contest.
