I love TPB, but I don't live in eastern Canada like they do, so I don't call it dope. Where I live, dope means meth 97% of the time (2.5% of the time it means heroin, and 0.5% it means weed). It'd just be confusing to call weed "dope"; people would think I'd started smoking crank or something.
Weed and herb are probably the two most common terms I use for it, followed by bud and reefer. I don't like the word "pot" either... I associate it with people who don't understand cannabis at all.

I'm used to "dope" meaning heroin. "shoot up some dope" "the guy with the dope habit" etc.
