Should I stick with the classics and go for huge yield and high potency, or go with something exotic and take my chances?

yeah, my new residence is not conducive to growing weed, so I think I'm just going to do 1 or two monotub grows and then call it good.

Out of curiosity, what are the classics? I've never grown shrooms, I've dabbled more in plant extractions. (Something more advanced than PFTek? I see people look down their noses at that one on the cult forums)

I've got sufficient knowledge/exp with growing herb, but shrooms is always something I've wanted to learn. I remember at one point I considered buying the Homestead Kit that is supposed to be only 2 steps and you basically just leave it there and it grows on its own.
It cost like $115. I'm sure a lot of you have heard of it before. Also, if you read HighTimes, you'd have seen it in there in almost every edition.

The hardest part is sterile procedures, but once you get that down, it literally is easy as watching something mold.
