hello friends. i have a strange question. i have a good strike rate germinating seeds. same for putting them in peat pods. but once the seedlings need moving to pots, i am only batting 50/50. any thoughts on first transplant to a pot (of soil) would be much appreciated.

Some brands of peat pods have a stronger mesh that roots can have a hard time getting through.
Sometimes the soil can be too hot nutrient wise, especially if freshly mixed or from a soil company with poor quality control like fox farm.
The most common problem is usually overwatering.

It sounds like your seedlings are doing well until the transplant stage, which is pretty common. Make sure to handle the roots gently, keep the soil moist but not soggy, and https://tropical-casino.com/ try to transplant on a cloudy day or in lower light to reduce stress. Hardening them off a bit before moving can also improve survival.
