Sativa and Indica smoked vs eaten

Has anyone here ever taken a strain of Staiva, smoked it then made an edible out of the same strain?
Or the other way around with an Indica strain?
I've been making tinctures from the dispensary and I have noticed that if you take a strong Indica and make an edible out of it the couch-loc goes away and there is a mild Sativa effect to it. And if you take a strong Sativa and make an edible out of it there is a mild Indica effect to it.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Hey us charter members gotta log in ery now an again to check on you whipper-snappers

I strongly advise those who can make a decent edible to try this.
Take your favorite strong Indica strain and make some edibles with it. You will expect a super strong couch-lock bedtime edible, but you would be mistaken. It will be akin to a hybrid that leans towards a Sativa.
It is quite a phenomenon, to be honest. I put 200mg of a strong Indica tincture in a shot of tea expecting to go to bed. I was sadly mistaken, four hours later I was playing my video game, geeked tf out. WTF

Smoking Indica usually hits me with that heavy, couch-lock feel, but edibles made from the same strain seem way more balanced. Same with Sativas—edibles feel a bit more relaxing than smoking them.

I tried a strong Sativa strain through a bong once, and it was super energetic. But when I made edibles from the same strain, it definitely mellowed out, more chill than usual.
