how can you even eat fish like if the smell isnt bad enough for you the texture is always fuck its all chewy and slimey zero good natural flavor just that smellly Amine fishiness and bitter

all fish should be wiped out and replaced with crabs and some lobster too i guess

Yknow it's funny you say that, thinking a little more.... there just is no cooking fish right. The best fish there is is the tiny little cuts made for sushi and sashimi but even then that shit is totally diluted with other aromatic things whether it be in the roll or the sauce on the side or the ginger hahahahaha.

Sashimi is not "in a roll", it's a piece of thinly sliced fish.

It's traditionally eaten plain (sometimes with soy sauce) so that the freshness of the fish will be front & center.

Salt-crusted snapper is fucking awesome.

Salt and pepper fried catfish is also pretty amazing if it's quality fish.

I'm a fan of seafood though, so my bias is pretty clear on this subject. :shrug:

Same, it's my favorite protein.

I'd be eating a lot more of it if I lived closer to the coast. Frozen is doable, but highly inferior.

I need to get more familiar with trout and fly fishing, it's a ton of fun and there's a lot of good spots up in northern NM.

Fly fishing has always intrigued me since I was a child...even though I don't know shit about fishing.
I suppose that movie "A river runs through it" stuck with me over the years.

If I lived in a more pristine area, I'd probably take a shot at some freshwater fishing as well.
