Yea I used to consume 350-450mg a day, had some scary stuff going on with my heart, was told to see a cardiologist and quit energy drinks. It took a month to see the cardiologist, and they gave me a clean bill of health, but I just decided to use this as an opportunity to fully de-couple from my caffeine addiction.
My first energy drink was consumed in 2005. I have been fully addicted (can't function without caffeine, it would give me a migraine) since then, and haven't gone a full day without caffeine since then, with the exception of 3 weeks when I quit cold turkey over Christmas of 2008. Once the semester started up I was right back on it.
Its been a long time coming though, I self-medicated with caffeine for my ADHD before I got diagnosed. It didn't really help, but it did give me a lot of headaches (from taking too much and not enough), weird pressures in my chest and head, general stress and anxiety from the daily swing of caffeine in my body, etc.
That being said, I probably won't be completely caffeine free, there are too many teas, coffee, and sodas that I like and don't want to completely give up. But I don't need caffeine anymore, and will generally try to limit caffeine consumption to 1 or 2 days a week.

I have been down to like a few grams of  for weeks now, dosed like 1g a week for the past 2 weeks give or take
Been out of 00 capsules aswell
I'll order more eventually
Gratz on the caffeine kick data, I'm still Nicotine free since Halloween this year,
Caffeine is a very addicting drug aswell honestly I've been drinking more since quitting Nicotine but I don't drink red bulls or energy drinks often mainly Chai tea

As of my birthday I have given up all of my vices. I'm tired of being a slave to all this shit.
I've been a heavy drinker for years, I have had a nasty back and forth habit with dipping tobacco, and I've been struggling with pornography since I was a teen.
No more. I had my last drink and dip on the evening of my birthday. 25 years is enough. No need to go into details, but these things have crippled me in ways I was unable and unwilling to see.
I've got some kratom thats really helping with these initial urges. I'm not replacing one habit with another, and I'm being real mindful of that. I never really liked getting loaded up on the shit anyway, so I almost kinda loathe takin the stuff. But getting that loaded feeling is keepin my mind off of takin a pinch or a sip. Once its gone, its gone.
I'm looking forward to growing and becoming a stronger person.

I would argue that kratom is equally addictive as alcohol maybe a little moreso, but self discipline is the important part no matter how you get there so right on. I once went through a trial of being straight edge, I thought I would go like til I died with it, i was hardcore I avoided things like a nun, I ended up becoming very angry, had dietary issues, couldn't sleep, relationship issues, problems at work, etc etc.. getting to where I could be an adult and go about my life but then life a little puff when my blood pressure gets crazy? yeah man it helps a shit ton. I tried Rx stuff from docs while at the end of the straight edge route and ultimately they wanted to give me benzos and I felt that defeated the purpose of my logos.
