I posted this at The Shroomery but nobody is really there...So, do you think it's possible?

To truly tap into the human brain? It's said that the average human can only consciously control 10% of the brain... But I've heard a lot of shit about being able to break past that and completely control much more than that. Of course not the entire brain, a lot of that shit is done on it's own. But I've been extremely  curious as to whether or not it's possible to somewhat or completely manipulate the protons, electrons, and whatnot that surround you and your body... Kind of like an energy source, using it to do things that's only found in fiction. Iono...just a random but very deep thought I've had.

Front what I understand, most of the brain works on it's own. The main controls are basically in the center of the brain but really that's all controlled by nature. I wanna find a way to basically cut off all senses, force the mind into a stand-by and somehow access the center... It sounds quite impossible though due to how our mind and bodies work.

One thing you have to understand is when you say "10% of the brain", you don't mean an isolated 10% of volume, and the rest is just sitting there doing nothing.

It means that only 10% of the brain's functions have been mapped and studied.

Alright, well then most of the brain is used unconsciously. How do we hit the on switch for all that? It's possible to mentally block out pain, but what else can we do? I'm beyond curious about all this...

That's why LSD/DMT trips are so important - they teach us alot about how our mind interacts with the brain.

Since their study is ILLEGAL, progress in this area is very slow. :nonono:

DMT more so because it's a naturally occurring chemical of all living things... It's said that majority of the brains learning happens in sleep, which is also when DMT is active... Deep sleep and right before death. I wonder if there's any connection with it all and conscious control.

Will do, i've just been VERY inquisitive about the human mind, body and soul lately. I've been plannin things out with some of my really good friends who are pro trainers in Gung Fu and some other shit, I've been eager to get my mind and body into the best shape I possibly can. THEN I started thinking about mind and soul and basically a big bang of questions went off haha.

I think when you smoke DMT it stimulates a part of your brain that has to do with spirituality and religion, making you feel universal in a way. Sorta what you are talking about

My main curiosity is whether or not it's possible to manipulate the protons, electrons and neutrons of an object. Say, finding a way to expand the repelling force between protons and electrons to maybe move an object to or away from yourself. I've no idea how to control something on a molecular level though....seems almost fictional...

i kinda think that psychedelics cause us to use a higher amount of brain than normal which gives us that broader perception, we don't use our brains because it is bad for our survival, we need to only use a small portion of our brain because we can't handle that kind of headspace.

Yeah... The brain is so far an un-surpassable super computer than runs entirely on it's own. Maybe we won't ever to be able to really control the brain... but I'm determined to see if we can.

I'm not religious in any way but if there were some form of deities, they must have been of human decent, just some how, super human. Gods are fictional, that much is obvious. But...  some kind of, for lack of better term, super human might have existed and the only possible explanation at the time was oh, oh, oh, a god.

Buuut... My thought on that is that those who were called, Gods, were nothing more than humans who have tapped into some form of "power". Break it all down scientifically and a lot of it makes sense. Some things though are just BS haha.

Maybe in a more pure form, but modern religion is used more to keep the masses in check through fear. It's used as a fall-back when something can't be explained with science or replicated with technology. And there are still some who tout religion even when something CAN be explained through science (young earth?).


I really don't think religion has any business mingling with spirituality.

Religion is foolish in my opinion... There's no point in allowing yourself to be at the mercy of a supposed higher power. I don't care if someone is stronger, or smarter than me, I won't allow myself to believe that person is BETTER than me or worthy of my worship. Like Slack said, it's all a fall back for what can't be explained. In my eyes, I am my own "god" and my life is in my control.
