In Maine, we have "segregation." The Indians now gladly live on their reservations away from whites. They have their own schools, police, community programs, and so forth. Whites and Indians occasionally mingle in public areas. There is less tension between the two races because we are both allowed to healthily be with our own. That is, we aren't forced into schools together like animals of the state. On both sides, we prefer it that way.
These kinds of relationships can be used as a model going forward.
