Anyone else keeping up with this shit? If things don't get under control soon, could this become "Trump's Katrina"?
Over-hyped or serious threat?

Erosion of earth fill dams are always serious, and from what I've seen, the damage is extensive, a service road on the damn has had a large section removed, but the dam is still intact and the water level of the lake has dropped far enough so that major flow has slowed.
But, this kind of major damage is going to take time to repair...and any new storms that pop up in the next few weeks could place the spillway section in serious trouble.

Could Oroville Dam be a harbinger of infrastructure crises to come? With all the highs and lows climate change is producing. Nobody wants to spend money fixing up something when it doesn't seem to matter, then the conditions flip-flop and boom you have a huge problem on your hands.

Most definitely. Last year it was a giant gas leak making half a city ill. This year it was the dam almost bursting. You can thank liberals for this. Gov. Moonbeam in particular. With all their CRAZY and stupid ideas. Instead of spending the money on infrastructure. The roads here in Southern California are so fucked up! I'm sure sham or someone else would back me on that. I wonder how California was when Ronnie was in charge.
