I claim to be educated in the sciences, specifically applied to engineering (which means I have a crappy half-education in the pure sciences). I never claimed that I was well spoken, nor have I claimed that English is my first language.
In fact, FORTRAN is the primary language that I am aware of in my positronic brain. As such, there are several modes of thought that do not translate easily into English. The fact that English has several conflicting standards of acceptable grammar makes the translation process more difficult. Finally, trying to adequately portray atypical emphasis, pause, or pronunciation solely through text often leads to sentence structure that deviates from accepted grammar norms.
I apologize to all that are bothered by my use (or misuse) of the English language. I find solace only in that this is not the General English Thread.

Did the Mayans exp a global warming type scenario? Did the rising temps cause more aggression, failed crops, and the sudden rise of extreme power in order to control what little supplies were left?
Did the Mayans calender not Mark the end of the world, but the start of a new worldly season. It's possible they were able to map out there changes and predicted the start of our next change...
