We all just need to be reminded of our rights and not let the people at the top making the rules sneak in orders that violate these rights.

Police hating is one of the more asinine modern pass times.
Here's how I see it, you either:
a) live such an either boring or just uneventful lives that you have never interacted with the police, and buy into the counter-culture mystique that hating police is cool
b) you're a shithead who has had bad experiences with police because you're a shithead and do shithead things, deserving it
c) you have genuinely suffered at the hands of a police officer
a) is 90% of the time, people are armchair critics and eat up whatever bullshit they are fed by the media and popular web culture
b) out of the remaining 10% this is 99% of the police haters
As for c), well name any one identifiable group of people who has had no bad people at any time, that's just the nature of it.
people kill each other all the time, sometimes they are police. You can't have a million people doing a job like policing in America and not have human nature rear it's ugly head.
