A quick question on trimming
    #785188 - 07/13/15 01:36 AM (8 years, 8 months ago)

Should I wait for another three days to flush on a 10 day period

or should I just let it grow another two weeks so it can finish it's flowering

It seems like I'm stuck with this height on the plant?

how long has this plant been flowering? It looks like it needs a lot longer than 2 weeks to finish.

It lost a lot of leaves
they turned yellow
so I pulled them off
about 8 or so
sometimes it seems like everytime i check there are two dried wilted leaves

Then I find out I'm supposed to let them fall off naturally

Ooops

well the best thing to do is look up the strain u have to see what the breeder states the avarage flowering time is and then check the tricomes about a week before that time to see if its mature yet... and if not keep checking it every few days. also it depends on the type of high your looking for..

Judging by those wilting leaves, your plant is starving for water. Either the roots are dry in that top photo or it has stem rot on the lower stem preventing transfer of water.
Could be one of those 2 extremes. The leaves should not look like that.
Also, as stated, the buds have a long way to go...

It's hard for me to water the thing

Those leaves are under the shade leaves though and it wasn't up that long...

I just thought about water chlorination today actually

I looked up my tables and there is all sorts of disinfectant shit in there
it's no wonder my plant isn't doing that great

Bromodichloromethane 0.99 ppb

Dibromochloromethane 1.03 ppb

Dichloroacetic acid 0.69 ppb

Total haloacetic acids (HAAs) 1.43 ppb

Bromoform 0.51 ppb

Total trihalomethanes (TTHMs) 4.38 ppb

Chloroform 1.99 ppb

Arsenic (total) 0.06 ppb

If I leave my water out for a night a lot of this stuff won't evaporate

You keep dodging questions and are not listening to people's suggestions.

Your plant looks like it has only been flowering for half of it's full cycle.  Why would you want to flush it and trim it? Hopefully your stem isn't rotting from overwatering.  Giving your plant too much love will kill it just as fast as not giving it enough.

Don't worry about the trace amounts of stuff you have in your municipal water.  Evaporate the chlorine so it doesn't kill your beneficial fungi and stuff.  The plant will detoxify the other crap on it's own. Just relax and take the advice people give you instead of worrying about the million things you can't control.

Now I'll ask again for the rest of the people on the thread.  How long has your plant been on 12/12 and what is the suggested flowering time from the breeder for your strain?  With more information, I'm sure the guys with more experience would be able to keep you on track so you can fill your jars with a lovely harvest.

I would expect to take it 10-11 weeks.  They descriptions usually lowball the time to make more sales.  If you still have a radio shack in your area, you can get one of those jeweler's microscopes for less than $20.  Once the pistils(the white hairs)are mostly orange, check the color of the gland heads to see how much clear/cloudy/amber trichs you have.  It's usually suggested to flush once you have a good amount of cloudy heads.

When I first started, I was worried about all the tiny details too.  I just have to remember that it is just an ordinary plant.  Once you get the basics down, you can worry about the little things to dial in your grow.  I keep a detailed log that I update weekly so I will know where to make adjustments for the future. It really made a difference between my first grow and the ones after it.

fire LED [Re: cheezymold]
    #785877 - 07/18/15 08:46 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

jeez I almost set my house on fire with the LED lights

I had some cardboard under it and was just fanning it today
and I left it there so I went to go see how the lighting was
and there was smoke lol
I thought it meant my buds were ready for a sec lol

The infrared light had been singing the cardboard
what a night

I also got rid of that extension cord, it leaves a footprint

the electricians can come to your house and see how much electricity you've been using with a voltometer even if nothin is hooked up at the time

they also might be able to track people using during off peak hours

the authorities can alert the electric company about stuff like this because it's considered hazardous to grow indoors

Yeah but people run appliances that draw higher than a small grow anyway.
Stereo setups, air conditioners, electric ovens ect.
