New here. Quick question about watering.

Hey guys, I'm new here but have been reading the forums on shroomery for quite some time and became a pro mycologist. Now I'm on to my next endeavor. Botany.

I have a quick question about watering but couldn't find a great answer with the forum search. My question/situation is this. I'm going home for Christmas tonight and won't be back to see my girls till Monday afternoon.

I have them on a timer 18/8 and am using a 400W HPS which is positioned about 20 inches above them. Usually after a full day the larger ones start to show signs of dry soil on the surface. They are in an enclosed space and it gets a little dry/warm in there.

My question is this. If I leave tonight at around 9 and give them a nice good watering, will they be OK for almost 3 full days without watering under that sort of light? Should I turn the light off for the weekend or will they be ok? They are about a month old and about 1-2 feet tall. (One is real fat at around 14 inches the other skinny at 2 feet). I don't have time to get a pump or anything I need to run into my apt and run out. I barely have time to water them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

They might get a little bit wilty, but I've seen plants snap right back from that kind of thing.

It might look scary when you get home and your babies are all droopy, but about an hour after a watering they'll recover.

And 3 days shouldn't be a big deal for them. Depending on your pot size, you probably shouldn't be watering more often than that anyway. Coir is different, but soil should retain water for longer than a day or two.

Don't kill the light for the weekend. That'll fuck them all around. Also - 18/8? You mean 18/6 right? Lol. :tongue2:

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?
