Monstercropping

Hello, my neighbor's brother's best friend's uncle had many plants outdoor, he was doing LST with one, but he didn't see that his tree got already real treeish so he accidentally fucked one big branch which had around 100buds and he got out of it 20 fine clones, but the plant was flowering for a week or two, now he's trying to root them - he has put them in water and cups (changing water every day or so), so anyway, he got nothing except water, what could he do more to make his clones root better?

it can work but not as well as other methods. My grandma made her entire back yard a garden by taking a branch here and there and just sticking it in water for a few days till it rooted.

Try putting a few directly in soil and see if that helps success rate. Tell him not to mess with them for a month, keep them watered ONLY if they dry out, and if they live they rooted, otherwise they can stay unrooted for three or more weeks and still sometimes look healthy. If they dry up and crust over they didnt root

walmart sells a TakeRoot powder for $5. Basically anything containing IBA will help. Superthrive is IBA and B vitamins, its what I use and works well in an aerocloner.

Anyway, he counted that there is 24 clones, he has put 6 directly to soil. He's nervous because he's leaving his plants on monday for 4-5 days. He can't leave his lights burn, that means he will leave his clones next to window, will that be a problem? For now he's growing them on 24/0 period. It's his first time cloning.

Oh and, he had no alcohol nor nothing - his scissors weren't sterile. Should he re-cut with sterile scissors?

sounds like he needs to live and learn. I probably won't make a difference about the scissors.

I agree. He also read that light isn't that important (window light is enough) to clones while rooting, is that true?

Those little jiffy seed starter things are good for clones. Just hydrate the little pellets and dip the stems in hormone. Insert.  Put the top on... Open and fan daily.
Having decent lighting is good. You dont want intense, or hot light but reasonably bright makes them thrive.

If you're doing the water thing, you are on the right track changing it daily anyway.
Simply sticking them into tbhe soil (even with the mother) can also work but thats dependent on the temp & relative humidity of the room not frying the exposed plant before it roots.
Try to score some rooting hormone...

Good luck.

Go 18/6 but just one T5 fluoro and keep it about 16" away.  Clones really don't want/need much light, they need to root.  Keeping the root zone warmer can help depending.

Monstercropping is awesome for indoors. Sure, it's hella hard to get the flowering clones to revert, they do strange things like odd leaves after sitting there a while doing nothing.  It's best to take small branches low on the plant with as little flowering going on as possible.  3 weeks into flowering is actually a good time to do it.  If you suck at cloning and growing this may not be the thing for you, TBH.  If you are patient and good at cloning and growing, it may be just the thing.  Once the clones finally start going veg, they will grow into bushy monsters with more buds on them than leaves.  They barely reverted from flowering and now are ready to make some flowers again!  "Normal" clones want to keep vegging and can get too big/tall.  Not the "monsters" (poor choice of name).  There will be need for support at some point and if one combines suppercropping with monstercropping one obtains super monsters which will really need to be strung up due to weight.

ChefDerekButt has some lovely videos on this and other topics.

Everything is going all right, my neighbor's brother's best friend's uncle had most of his plants in soil, but he had few left in water, the ones in water had visible roots. Now every plant is in soil. There are 17 plants. He doesn't need that much, though. He also thinks that monster cropped plants would be great in outdoor. Just imagine what kind of monster would it be in the wild... He is definitely going to try planting few monster cropped plants (which have revegged) next outdoor.

He needs to re veg them ...it can be done, but is a challenge,... better to drop them to a diy bubble cloner, even a trash bin with a air line in is good, and keep them 12x12 until harvest
