 24hr veg light delay sex showing

There is 1 plant over 2' tall and maybe 8 weeks old and still no sign of sex. Under 24 hour veg light... ( in direct bright sunlight 8 hours a day and under 84w of cfl light the rest of the day.)
If it was put down to 22/2 or 20/4 would that make it show gender quicker? I am getting anxious as it was from a "regular" seed and obviously don't want any males

Take a cutting off of it and put the cutting under 12/12 light from day 1. You're not all that concerned if it roots you just want it to show sex which it will do. This way you can get sex without cutting the light back on your main plant and cause it to revert when you go back to veg light which will slow things down by 3 to 4 weeks.

I was at a dispensary the other day and they told me that they will sex your plants for you, it only takes a single shade leaf... but in my astonishment I forgot to even ask what they were doing to figure it out...

Hmm that's strange.
2 clones were taken to follow that advice.
Also lights were set to 20/4 to see if that speeds things up. Plant is at almost 3' and almost 9-10 weeks so you'd think it wouldve shown by now

You put the clones in with a dark cycle of at least 12 hrs?
Also, it takes a while. Some strains take longer...
Sometimes in the veg room, simply reducing a plants light intensity will make it show

^the clones are being given a week to root and then yes will do with the 12-12. (I realize this isn't absolutely necessary)

Just dont expect the plants to flower without reduced light hours.
I mean, if you're waiting , do it now or as Bob Marley says you "waiting in vain"

Sakamoto and various co-authors[74][75] have used RAPD to isolate several genetic marker sequences that they name Male-Associated DNA in Cannabis (MADC), and which they interpret as indirect evidence of a male chromosome
Chimera uses this process to sex large seed lots. This would be an invaluable tool to any commercial grower.

You guys ever heard of this sexing technique? "use a magnifier and look for small trichs on stem and leaves whilst they are young" this is what the guy from firestax shop says he does, and a few other people 2nd it as an option. I was actually coming on here to see if anyone has used this technique.
