hey guys. New grower, was forced to start before i was all set up properly. long story. Anyway i live in a small town and am on a strict budget at the moment. I plan on upgrading significantly in the 2-3 months this plant will take to finish.
I just have one plant at the moment in a 2 by 2.5 by 8 foot closet. I will post a picture of the light bulb i am using. I am unable to change this bulb for at least a few weeks.
As you will be able to see in the picture i am using a 300watt frosted incandecant bulb. Putting out 6300 lumens at a heat temp of of 2700 K. my plant is currently 9 inches away from the bulb
my reading shows incandecants suck in general for growing. my reading also tell me that 2700 k is for flowering you need 6500 k for veg.
I plan to fix both these issues. But in the mean-time.
1. Can you tell me if this bulb is decent for what im using it for?
2. And can you tell me if perhaps this one bulb isn't enough light for one plant and i should install a second. is 6300 lumens enough?
3. Best upgrade option for when i can upgrade.
I am aiming for high quality organic smoke with a great taste
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you're on a budget switch out the bulbs you have for CFLs. I suggest getting the higher wattage ones.the one you have can't be used for growing cannabis.

Swap that bulb for the highest (actual) wattage cfl you can fit in your light socket ASAP! A daylight spectrum 42 watt cfl (ones I have used in the past fit a regular socket) can be purchased locally and online for 15 bucks or less. You can keep the cfl relatively close to the top of the plant also.
Quality and taste of your bud will depend primarily on the strain you are growing and how you flush/ripen/dry/cure them at the end of the grow.
