 I cut off early flowers

So I put my plants out after vegging them for a few weeks under 18hrs of light, well they flowered so I cut off the tops with hairs and put them in their spots for the year. Is that what I should have done?

Who told you to cut the pre-flowers off? Pics would help... Hopefully she isn't stunted to bad. If you were trying to Top or FIM you are supposed to do that in veg, not flower state.

There was maybe ten hairs with what looked like trichomes. I was gonna top them in those places anyway. It just made sense to reduce the material they needed to reveg they're about a foot n a half each

You need a magnifing glass to see trichomes.

Yeah I think I used the wrong word, it was the thing that turns into a seed, a calyx maybe?

Yup^
Anyway, you can see trichomes without a magnifying glass. Theyre just not clearly defined.
they appear to the eye as very tiny hairs... I consider that "seeing" them.
