Did you guys see the first episode of the new marijuana reality show on CNN called High Profits last night? It was the best marijuana reality show I've seen. Better than Marijuana Wars, American Weed and Pot Barons. Nothing against those shows, but High Profits was just fantastic. It had everything we need in a show like that. Just like the other shows that I mentioned, it showed the human side of these businesses and shattered the Cheech and Chong stereotype that the straights would expect. And just like the other shows, it presents these people as normal, apple pie American business owners in pursuit of the dream. The main subjects and their struggles are very relatable. And it doesn't hurt that the female co-owner of the business is very sexy.
One reason I liked it so much was that they put extra focus on just how profitable these dispensaries can be. At one point, the guy his literally hugging a table full of hard earned legal weed cash. When I saw that, I really felt like that image, as well as all the talk about the tax revenue they had generated in just two days, would resonate among people on the fence on this issue. Anyway, I just loved it and I can't wait until this coming Sunday for the next episode.
