How nasty is this shit really? Thinking of using it on my reusable components of my media (hydration, grow stone, gnat nix). Curious how much water will be needed to thoroughly rinse any chemicals off and what symptoms are likely to occur In my plants with trace amounts or better yet a way to test for it?

I only use it for hard non porous surfaces. I would NOT recommend using it on the grow stones. Seems like it would be pretty difficult to completely remove from there. That being said, I have only used it to clean tubs and equipment. I have no idea what the effect of it on growing plants would be. I would stay away from risking it though.

Damn I was a bit afraid of that. What's the usual process for hydro guys to reclaim hydration?

Huh? Reclaim hydroton you mean? I personally would just use really hot water and h2o2, let soak and agitate the crap out of it. Then rinse on the debris out. I was just reading some threads where people were using physan on their hydroton. But in my personal opinion I don't trust using it with consumable products.

I use hydroton. I just pour it threw a milk crate exactly like this  to strain out the roots. Then I rinse em off and use em again. During the final flush before harvest the first few days I use Flora Kleen.

Yeah sorry hydroton my autospell changed it. I figured it was ok since I read similar but without first hand knowledge saying it's cool ill just go another route.
Good idea on the crate I was using nursery pots and was breaking my back like a chump.
