I've gotten tired of hauling jugs off to be filled every week so I found this stuff that will treat my tap water with just .5mL per gallon.

One thing though is that it removes ammonia from the water, so what's going to happen to the ammoniacal nitrogen in my fertilzer?

Looks cool but if you setting your water out for 24-48 hours before using works well.

Sodium thiosulfate is probably even better to use. It's dirt cheap, and removes the chlorine while leaving the ammonia to be converted into ammonium by nitric bacteria in the soil.
