How many of you plan to get married or are currently married?
What motivated you to make your decision?
Personally I'd love to get married but I doubt that I will.
Vows just aren't taken seriously anymore and I don't trust
a woman to stick with it for the long haul.
Also, women view men as a meal ticket, and m00nshine
don't play that shit.
And ultimately men get screwed over in a divorce.
Am I just going to let a woman take what my family
and I have worked hard for? Hell no!

I have 3 kids that I love to death and have had them more than my ex for the last 5 years since we split. But now she thinks she's going to move them 8 hours away and I am going to the poor house trying to prevent it and I'll still probably lose.
My advise was based on experience. I dont regret my kids, but I do regret who I had them with and its easier to just advise people to not have kids and to sign a prenup because no matter how well you think you know someone more often than not you never quite do.

Married almost 13 years now. I was motivated by my feeling for her and the romantic ideal of the long term partnership. The same motivations keep it working today.
All I have to say is if you distrust someone, even a little bit, don't consider it. I was very fortunate to get married to a woman with priorities and a sense of respect and her place in the world. I've never met another woman under 30 who really had her shit together like my wife did when she was 19.
I realize anything can happen in the future, but we both seem to be pretty happy still and we actively do things that support a good relationship.
That said, I also had to have my shit together before I could ever be happy with someone. I never met a woman I partied with that would have made a good long term companion.

I gotta go with Crayola's explanation of why he got married. Pretty much the same for me, and double props on the last sentence. No booty call chick I ever had was worth her weight in gold.
I met my wife when I was looking for weed one night after work. A friend said his girlfriend knew where to find weed and turned out that my future wife was "the weed chick". Well her foster mom was at least.lol.
We showed up and they were dry as a bone. Dude left with his chick and I hung out there with my future wife. Usually I was always trying to get into a girl's pants, but that night all I did was sit and listen and talk to her. It was insane how much we had in common and everything right down to agreeing on watching Catdog instead of reruns of spongebob.lolol.
I get a bit giddy talking about the night we met. I didn't leave until 4am when her foster mom got back from a weed run. I bought a 20 sack, told her goodnight and left.
She went on for the next week or two thinking I wasn't attracted to her at all. Then one day my friend came to me at work and asked me if it was cool if his girl gave her my phone number. I was like hell yeah, then I found out he meant to ask me the day after we went.lol. Fuckin stoner.
Fucking really long story short. We spent the next 7 months together everyday, and never officially asked each other out until then. We just knew I guess.
3 kids, 1 roach infested apartment, 1 beautiful house, shitty jobs and good jobs later, we are married and happy as shit.
You really don't know a person for sure, I think it was m00n that said that, but I was the type of person that would rather take a chance than always taking the more cautious route.
Honestly if I had to go back out in the dating scene now, even at 26, I don't think I would know a thing about how women are now. I hate selfies, I cant stand bug eyed sunglasses, and I really don't understand the obsessions people have nowadays.
I'm old-fashioned, but happy, so that's what counts.
