I'll NEVER use a seed starter kit again.

So I got one of those little peat pellet greenhouse trays to start seeds and it's not doing shit. I sewed the seeds last Sunday and still have exactly 0 sprouts. I planted 15 quality cannabis seeds, some beans and peas, and some cool flowers, all going to waste now.
Usually I plant my seeds straight in the soil and have 100% of them sprouted in about 4-5 days. This time it's been 8 and I still have nothing. Lesson learned, I will always plant directly into soil from now on.

The dome on those things can create an unreasonable humidity level.

Definitely, just leads to undesirable fungi on the surface. I took it off.
Hopefully the warmer temps this week will make them pop. I really would feel like an idiot wasting all those good seeds...

Eh I don't care for germinating like that either, I'll just go back to putting them in the soil like I always do.

Nothing wrong with planting in soil but germinating first will increase your success rate. I always found a straight cup of water the best method.

Like I said, I had 100% success with soil. I've proved over and over again germination isn't necessary.

It's not just a tray, I'm talking about the starter pellets. "Unwise grower"? The fuck is that supposed to mean?

Of course you haven't proven that. Germination is mandatory if you want to grow a plant from seed.

I just meant the technique of germinating in water or wet paper towels before planting.
