So for the last few years I switched over to straight coir because everyone was convincing me it was the better way to go. Honestly, it was a really nice medium. However, it just doesn't fit my personal attention span. It requires a bit more than soil.
This time around, I said fuck that, and went back to the basics. A bag of FFOF. This is an autoflower. I want to stress how shitty my setup is right now. I vegged this under like 50 watts of CFL. Only 50. I used to use 150. I have this in a tent with absolutely no ventilation or fans other than the passive intake at the bottom. My 6" inline didn't fit in the holes. So I just ended up putting my 150w HPS in there instead of my 400 and saying "oh well". I've really been half assing this and I'm amazed with how well it is going. I did a coir run in here prior to this in a 5 gallon bucket and didn't get anything that looked half as nice as this does already...oh, and I need to mention that this is in like a half gallon sized pot! OH LOL and I don't even ph my water!

I hate myself because I always get to this time of year and finally get my grow motivation back, and it's going to be too hot for me to grow in just 4 months so I have to really do something speedy instead of taking my time. Every year I tell myself I'm not gonna do that, but then I do.
I'm gonna start with soil next fall and skip the months of screwing around. I pollinated 2 of the lower branches on this, but I dunno if the pollen was viable yet. Hoping I get a few auto seeds out of this to put outdoors.
