Air flow, computer fans and odor

I wanted to ask you:

1)Two autoflowering plants, in a little stealth growbox, in the basement, will need a proper carbon filter for odor?

2)I have seen that I have to connect the 2 wires of the 12V AC adapter, to the 2 wires of the Computer fan.. but I only see one wire coming out of the Adapter.. how can I do?

I've read white and red white connected, and black and black wire connected...
