I also disagree with everyone talking about the 9's and 10's having to be potent as fuck to get that rating. Weed can be genetically not very potent but if you grow it perfectly and it smells incredible, looks delicious and smokes smooth and tasty then it still deserves that rating.

While I agree with the sentiment from the grower's point of view, this type of thinking is the very reason a lot of areas are flooded with $20 grams of smelly, tasty, pretty bud that isn't even equal in potency to the good brickweed around here. And when people are smoking to get high/medicate, not just to show their status with smelly and fluffy bud, smells and looks are secondary priorities.

If a $100 ounce of clean-burning, surprisingly potent (for brick) brickweed can get me high for a week, why would I buy 5 pretty $20 grams that will get me only buzzed for about 2 or 3 days?

I think the 9 and 10 rating should be for bud that is beautiful, fragrant, and clean, while still being potent as fuck.

If it's lacking in ANY department, it doesn't deserve a 9 or 10 rating.
(For the record, I wasn't one of the 9 or 10 guys, I voted 8 and that's because this last Man Eater grow boosted my average, usually it's about a 6 because of genetics and lack of experience.)
