Of course. The lungs aren't that efficient.
Even a breathe of air you only absorb a small fraction of the oxygen I believe.

No you're wrong, i think that's called something else. Fun fact though; in russia the most
experienced smoker in the group, takes a hit off of these cigarette looking tubes, they
stuff with cannabis, and he blows smoke into everyone elses mouth. i forget what they call
it though.

My uncle who grew up in the late to mid to late 60s once told me he and his buddies would actually use a double barrel shotgun and blow the smoke though the barrel and someone on the other end would inhale.
