Just joined today, howdy.
Thinking about getting a 400 watt light/ballast setup with one HPS and a MH bulb.
I understand that one light of that caliber could house roughly 8 sq. feet ?
Have you gotten good results with 400 watts?
In what range estimate of weight am i looking at, givin that I'm using a pre mixed organic soil, peat, guano, perlight and what have yous.

Hey dude welcome. That's a decent starter light that can handle a few plants grown to "medium" height in no more than 3 gallons of soil each. That's how I'd do it at least. I've only grown with 1000w and t5/led.
And heads up a moderator will most likely move this to the cultivation forum. The lounge is where we talk shit about each other and express concern about each other's addictions normally.

Go with a 600, they're not much more...you'll be glad you did when you switch to flowering.
