My seedlings are doing awesome thanks to everyone here at the growery. One question I am going into my second week and am just about finished with my grow box, and have had my ladies under T5 floro and plan to move them to my MH soon should I set the lights high and slowly bring them down the canopy 1.5 to 2 feet or should I just set the ladies in there. My growth so far is awesome and I don't want to lose them to a rookie mistake. thanks so much all of you here at the growery have been so helpful, words cant explain how excited I am on my first grow and have such good results so far (THANK YOU MAGASH AND HAWK YOU BOTH HAVE GAVE ME SUCH GOOD INFO TO GET ME WERE I AM) Plump OUT...................

Yea, setting the light up high and slowly working it down to on top of the plants is a good idea. Just remember to keep an eye on them. If they look good a few hours after putting them under the light, drop it down by 6-8" and see how they do with that. If they respond well (IE no drooping or flexing from light shock) keep dropping it down till it's as close as they can handle. Get a laser temp gun to check leaf temperatures if you're really worried about it. They come in really handy, so its a good thing to have anyways...

Thanks man I already have a good infrared thermometer so I will definitely check the temp that way, but one question what temp should I be looking for at the canopy? From what I've read here at the growery is that back of the hand method, so I would assume anything 70-96.8 deg this is a rule of thumb of course. Any info is much appreciated.

Well, it depends on a lot of things. Most strains prefer daytime temps to be around 75F or so. With Co2, add ten degrees or so to that... But then, that's strain dependant. I know Hawk has some strains that continue to thrive well into the nineties!
