 Cloning Issues

So Im attempting to clone using rockwool plugs. I tried once years ago and failed. I presoaked the plugs in 5.0 ph water with a small amount of liquid clonex. They looked good on day one. Day two and I noticed pale leaves between dark veins on one clone. Thinking iron deficiency. Day two I notice on another. Now its Day three and the leaves are dying. They never wilted. just showing signs of dying. Any help?

Well that's what they're supposed to do. The plant sucks nutrients out of the leaves to form the roots. Make sure the cubes don't dry out.

Fuck that is a strange one. In 30 years growing I haven't seen that on clones. Have you tried misting them down and if so what happen? In fact I'd try misting them down with a 1/4 strength nutrient solution. One day is a bit fast to start showing nutrient loss

Will they regain their color. I need very healthy looking clones. They are in a humidity box with my tropical plants. and the cubes sit in about 1mm of water so there shouldnt be any issues with drying
|

I've seen it in 2 day, not severe, but definitely noticeable.

You also don't want them sitting in standing water dude. Get a real humidity dome dedicated to the clones. You're half-assing this.

I do have a nutrient fogger ive turned on with some micro added to the water for the iron. turned on for 5 min for a very light foliar feed.

Im not half assing. Ive spent $2k on this system. The platform sits on the top of the water. i raised the water level slightly to touch the cube bottoms. i have two 60 gal aquarium air pumps goin into the water which is about 2 gallons. The clones have their own dedicated area. They just require the same conditions as some others plants so theyre in with them.

I don't know about the half assing thing but you don't want those cubes sitting in water.
