Herb Seed Germination help needed

#707850 - 01/16/14 02:27 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

5 days ago I sewed some seeds of spearmint, lemon balm and peppermint into a fish tank converted into a nursery.

No germination has been seen as yet, I'm scared they need light to germinate because I planted them under the soil.

Do they need light to germinate?

If so, since they're already covered in soil, what could I do?
