In case you haven't heard there is a 13 year old girl that is now brain dead after going through a simple tonsil removal surgery. My question is once the insurance runs out should we the taxpayers be paying to keep a "dead" (while technically alive) person alive?

Yeah i'd pull the pliug, it's not natural to keep someone on life support that is going to die
anyway. It is fucking shitty that the hospital staff didn't do anything to help, my god. That
flat out disgusts me. That family is probably scared for life.

Well the amount of lawsuits on docs for little shit is rediculous. There's always going to be a risk. And they don't even know what the exact cause is.
I'm sure if they sue they'll get paid out tho

It's not uncommon at all for surgeons and docs to get sued and lose. You have to pay some rediculous amounts for insurance to cover your lawsuits.
