This little guy is currently on production of its 7th node is this able to be topped? I would like to start the topping process nice and early, but I don't wanna kill the little guy. And also how is topping best performed? should I wait for the 7th node to fully develop then clip the two growths or what? Pleas help!!

You could top that plant.
personally I'd let it grow at another inch or two before I topped it.
Read this thread it will answer all of your questions.

Definitely, that thread answered any question I could possibly have about training or topping. Great read too.
