Hey everyone. I found this site via google and just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the info in their posts.
Now onto my question, my parents just moved back from Australia this spring and brought a bunch of poppy seeds from their garden there. The poppies grew this spring and I harvested upwards of a few thousand seeds. My plan next spring is to sprinkle most of them all over the country(my little way of sticking it to the man lol) but I am also going to plant a bunch around my property. I am a medical mary user and although my state doesn't neccissarily agree with me, I feel as though I have little time left for the laws of man, so with that, I was wondering if I were to lance these next year, can the latex be ingested raw for a medicinal effect? Does it need to be dried? Im not to interested in refining it, just wondering about the natural God given medicine. Thanks
Quite a few people take the dried pods and just make a tea out if it.

You can eat it wet, but a lot of people across the net complain about the taste, and it doesn't take long to dry anyway so just scrape, dry, weigh out doses, (optional: put in capsules), enjoy.
what kind of poppies did she grow cuzm california poppies aint the same...
as for dosing. I perfer to wail till all the pods are dry and then i make tea;s. if u have a ton of big pods, you can scape em daily and collect the opium ( like they do in Afghanistan )
The raw opium latex tastes absolutely awful. I highly recommend making tea from the dried pods, mixed 50/50 with coffee for taste and, if desired, caffeine. Search the Shroomery (www.shroomery.org) for "CoffeeTea". I think that's what it was called. But be careful, while it is natural, it is also a conglomeration of addictive opiates. Start slow, keep tolerance, addiction, and most importantly, the potential for overdose on your mind whenever enjoying this substance.
