Help identifying my plant!!! Is this an opium poppy???

Ok so i planted some "poppy seeds". The thing is i don't know if its an opium poppy plant that is still maturing....i have pictures that i will post but the leaves look like opium poppy leaves. The thing is that the seed pods are inside of a leafy type pod. and there are small yellow flowers growing out of some parts of the plants. I also cut the seed pod open after removing the outte leafy pod and there are seeds in it and some ooze. Plz help me identify this plant and if it is an opium poppy plant plz let me know!!! TY!!!!

No its not an opium poppy!

Its a Physalis alkekengi aka the Chinese lantern plant. You shouldnt have killed it... they are beautiful when they turn orange :sun:
