 Best strain for neighborhood outdoor grow in So Cal?

I'm in the process of moving to Southern California. My dad has a medical card there and a yard and wants me to help him grow.
This will be in a fully fenced backyard. Any suggestions for good varieties that are
1- not super smelly
2- not super tall
3- good strain for coastal southern California
Any suggestions would be fantastic. I've never grown before, so I'm pretty excited!

Well if you're not wanting too tall, then I would go with an Indica dominant variety. Any strain is well suited for your area as well.
Not sure about low odor.

Real old school OG Kush. No Tahoe, Alien, Skywalker, and whatever versions they are doing now.

I just got my hands on a cutting I can finally confirm is the real thing. When I mean just got I'm talking today. (no joke)
and yeeeeees I do have plans for making feminized GDP x GSC seeds. (Gr$$dy grow$r tim$).

are these all low fragrance varieties? I don't want someone sniffing out my plants and getting in the backyard to jack them.
