It will work good for veg. and if you have too it will be ok for flower too not alot of heat and whatnot but you wont yield as much as you would with a better light .

I think that's for CFLs. Floros should be 1/2 in- 1in from what I read. I deff remember logs where they were actually touching some leafs, with no burns.

I've seen them burn when actually touching. I'd be careful with that.

they will burn the plant keep as close as you can but not touching you have to watch they grow into the light before you know it

If they are the same strain then yes. But if they aren't I wouldn't recommend it.

Because they can have different needs. Some strains are way more sensitive, or have different needs than others. They can grow to different sizes and shapes, one may overshadow the other.

But 2x2 isn't so small. You need 50 watts per sq ft minimum. So 200+, if you're planning to fill up that much area
You can get three 4-packs of 20-something Watt CFLs and a couple Y-splitters and have your 200W plus for really cheap. The last time I was at Home Depot you could buy the four-packs for $3 or so, and you could get them in daylight 6500K and warm/cool white around 3000K.
Also, I think a bunch of smaller bulbs would be superior to a couple larger ones.

Are you sure those are 65W fluorescents? My 4ft T8s were 32W. Hard to believe those are 65W. You MUST mean "Watt equivalent".

As a new grower, having tried multiple plants per pot, I concur. Individual pots is better all around.

That can't be right... There's no 3$ 4 packs of 20 watt CFLs. They're 12-16$ depending on the store.
I used 8 23 watt CFLs in flowering to supplement. I bought 2 4 packs for 35$ish, 4 y sockets+4 wall plug sockets+4 extension cords. Came out to about 50$.
I'd say it'll cost about $85-100 for 270watts (12 23 watt bulbs) of CFLs.
Which brings me to my point - get an hid light instead lol
