So my local subway is having open interviews tomorrow and I am wondering if I should shave off my goatee or not.
Do managers in the food industry prefer employees without facial hair?

I didnt shave for either one of my interviews and I got both the jobs.

This thread makes me sad. I have been growing my beard for 4 months and my facial hair grows super stupid so it has taken me until now to look like I am a guy trying to grow a beard instead of a guy who was stranded somewhere for a month.
I'm getting a temporary lay off and need a second job anyway. Shaving might actually make me cry. I waited a long time and endured some real asshole comments to get this fucking beard. It's like a friend now.

If you just keep it neatly trimmed then it's fine. Especially for an interview somewhere like subway, it's not frickin' NORAD, they know the average person who applies there most likely smokes pot and wants a beard.

i can't grow a beard, however i don't shave either unless something important is coming up (holiday, dinner with GFs parents, thats pretty much it) therefore i always look like a hobo.

In fact last time i shaved was the sunday before thanksgiving for my girlfriends dads thanksgiving.
I'm also shaving today, because tomorrow is my girlfriends dads christmas.

Just started at a little mom and pop place here in town
They own a restuarant, then a gas station/ convenient store. And also a Deli/ Hot Food bar...
So far I have been running the Deli/ Hot Foods (their specialty is their fried chicken, supposedly the best in town and it is bomb as fuck) and I run the cash register at night when the deli closes
I love it. The money sucks but the people there are pretty awesome and I love just eating my entire shift
