cleaning the res out

Hey i've got a little glass pipe that i've had a for a year and i've only scraped it a couple of times (with a cut-off bass guitar string) to get a nice little res ball, but i really want to find a more efficient way to clean it and a way to get way more res to smoke from it.

so what's the best way, please?

Not if you use flavored wraps, which i can't stand since they mask the flavor of weed, but roaches from a flavored wrap aren't that bad. Never done a roach blunt but roach bowls get you fuckin blazed

Edit- to get the resin out, it might work to heat up the pipe and tip it so the resin drains out. Depends on the pipe, but worth a try.

Sounds obvious, but that pipe will be hot- use oven mitts or something.

I dunno, man.
If I'd been smoking resin, I'd love a Riesen. But if there wasn't any herb, I'd be depressed to find that stuff inside my pipe.

Just clean it the same way you did before except hold it up with a bright light behind the bowl so you can see what your scraping and knock the big chunks down the stem of the bowl.

Yea I know I can understand someone saying ewwwww to resin but I don't understand someone who wouldn't smoke a roach thats just retarded.  Resin is condensed pot smoke  so your inhaling some of that shit with every hit of weed anyway.

I never understood why people would put tasty bud nuggets
in a "resinator" chamber... You know those little metal pipes
that have a chamber that the smoke pulls through,
at the same time coating your already great tasting weed with
resin, making it taste like shit.

Does anybody know if it is possible to do an alcohol extraction on resin?...

Sometimes i will have some really good resin built up...Im not talking about the nasty black charred shit. This is the resin that has not had any contact with flame, it is more brownish, oily, gooey, and pretty potent. If you own a PHX you know what im talking about, the resin that builds up within the perf downstem.

but if it's as good as you say, why bother? Mix it with some shake, and call it hash.

well if you want to smoke it, just scratching it is the only way to do it. otherwize get a big ziplock bag, alocohol and epson salt, shake it a lot and let it sit in the bag for about 30 minutes, then shake it again alot, and wash it out with warm to hot water. it will clean the shit out of it.

Scratching it out is the best way.

But really think about it before doing it. Smoking is bad for you lungs. Resin is concentrated tar that contains less THC than marijuana buds. Smoking resin is very bad for your lungs because it is a concentration of all the garbage that makes up smoke. Its your call, but i'd say go easy on your lungs.

It's not that hard. Get some 91%-99% ISO or some Acetone which people prefer because it's cheaper and more of it. 97% of it is evaporated. It's the cleanest solvent out there. They use it in cigarettes. By the time it hits the lighter the 3% is gone.
