 Got myself a Bluenose Pitbull!

Here she is, named her Cali. She's about 2 months old now 
I had a hard time choosing one at first but when I saw her beautiful blue eyes the decision was made. I've been training her with a clicker, I've already taught her to sit and give me her paw

Awesome....not a pitbull person myself, but got nothin against em! Leave the ears and what not un cropped though. They are so much cuter with them!

Got one myself. Was a rescued ex fighter. She's half gray and half white and has one white eye and one gray one to match her fur.

Those are some beautiful dogs you've got man. It's awesome that you got to save an ex-fighter, awesome eyes too! I would have adopted one myself but I don't think I would have been able to afford it, probably next time though. I was thinking of getting a Rottweiler myself, or a German Shepard if I had the money.

I'm lucky that growing has been good to me. I have lots of property so I can do a lot of rescues. Those are only some of my dogs. Haven't even started counting cats, chickens, and a few goats scattered about.

The bad thing about German Shepherds is that there's been a lot of inbreeding and people have been breeding them to have that sloping back which causes problems. You could get an East European Shepherd (aka Russian German Shepherd) which was bred to be a tough working dog and would have less health issues: http://www.russiandog.net/russian-german-shepherd.html
I know the Norwegian Army got a bunch of black German Shepherds from East Germany because they were bred to be working dogs and not show dogs. This would have been because of the Soviet influence back in the day.
You could also try a Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois). However, if you're not very active then a Rottweiler would suit you better because it will not require as much exercise as a German Shepherd. You still need to exercise them though so they don't end up obese and bored.

I love bully breeds!!! they got such a bad rep, but are all sweethearts inside

Lol Browndog.
I removed him from his home when he was 2 months old
His family (my brother) wasn't feeding him.
I initially wanted to find him a good home so I just called him
Little Browndog.
Buuut.... I fell in love with him and couldnt give him away,
he is so goofy that The name just stuck.
I like it.

All my animals are rescues. I have a 3 legged Australian herding dog. A chiweenie that use to chase cars around the neighborhood my kid goes to school in. The Chiweenie is the little warrior of the group. Funny as hell to wake up and see a 110 lb pitbull running from a crazed chiweenie. They do it every morning.
They are fully a team. I let the chiweenie out a little earlier then usual sometime in February and two coyotes were on him like a flash. He barked one time and the pits were threw the screen door (a 100 dollar screen door at that). 10 minutes later I'm washing blood off the pits while the chiweenie is prancing around like nothing happened (little bite on his leg that he didn't even notice) and then having to bury two coyotes.
The pits put the hurt on the coyotes but I have a staffordshire bull terrier named Bonzo  (the chain he's wearing is for effect he's a mellow dude just don't fuck with his little buddy) who the chiweenie is the right hand man of so when he saw his buddy getting attacked there wasn't gonna be any survivors.
