March Madness Baby

Already started with the conference tournaments. Watching the end of Cincy vs. Georgetown right now. Cincy has a 1 point lead with 40 seconds left.

Cant wait for the bracket madness to begin..

I am going for Michigan this year. I am glad they are back in the mix after having not been in the field for a long time.

I think Kentucky will probably end up winning it all though. They seem pretty untouchable. Them and UNC

And not only did Cincy beat Georgetown but they beat Syracuse too.

Michigan vs. Ohio State today. First time I remember the basketball rivalry having any meaning

Here are my upset watches for the 1st round of play:

(9) UConn vs. (8) Iowa State- UConn, I dont consider them much of an upset, but they are a seeding lower

(4) Indiana vs. (13) New Mexico State University- #4 Indiana is on Upset Alert

(5) University of New Mexico vs. (12) Long Beach State- LBSU is battle tested and will prove a tough matchup

(4) Louisville vs. (13) Davidson- Louisville needs to shoot the 3-ball well in order to win. That and force turnovers. They play quick and if Davidson can protect the ball and Louisville shoots poorly, then Davidson has a chance to play spoiler

(8) Kansas State vs. (9) Southern Missouri- Giving Southern Missouri a chance here

(5) Vanderbilt vs. (12) Harvard- Harvards first time in the dance since the 1930's. I look for them to be well coached by Amaker and play a tough game with Vandy

(3) Florida State vs. (14) St. Bonaventure- Only giving them a chance to upset based on their hot streak. 7-1 in their last 8 games. Including tournament wins against St. Joes, UMass, and an 11-point win against 10 seed Xavier

(4) Michigan vs. (13) Ohio University- Michigan relies heavily on Freshman PG Trey Burke. Without him they struggle to score. He plays a bad game or gets into foul trouble and OU will capitalize on them. Being a Michigan fan I am hoping the guys come out ready, but we have weaknesses.

Final 4
East- Syracuse. Barely picking them over the Buckeyes
West- Missouri. This is my wide-open division. Anyone could take it. MSU, then Louisville as runner-ups
South- Kentucky. Then Baylor, but Kentucky heavily favored
Midwest- UNC. Kansas would be my 2nd pick but I havent seen them play this year.

Finals
Kentucky wins over whoever they play
Syracuse wins their part but could easily see them replaced by Ohio State, UNC, or Kansas

Champion
Kentucky- I think this is finally their year to win the whole thing

Wow, more and more madness

Duke is down. Mizzouri is down

Only upset I called, was the Michigan game, and being a Michigan fan. That fucking burns.

I knew we had a shitty team. We need a Center bad.

I am really liking Ohio State and Kentucky.

Cuse' is looking good still even without Fab Melo

Down to the Final 2 teams...

Kansas vs. Kentucky

I think Kentucky is going to be heavily favored and I would be surprised if they somehow lost.
