I cannot describe how much I hate my dysfunctional oesophageal sphincter when it begins to leak out gastric acid   
Trully a bad acid trip 
I stopped eating regularly about two weeks ago and started getting the acid pains soon after. Now I'm trying to get my shit back together.
Does anyone have experience with acid pains after eating a relatively large/oily meal? For the moment I'm resorting to baking soda (provides some instant relief), apples and honey (they're great).
I might have to get some proton pump inhibitors or something cause occassionally I get it bad. Though I'm not sure if its just heartburn or an actual acid reflux.
Anyone got experience with it?

I think heartburn is the actual burning sensation or the symptom whereas acid reflux is the medical condition though they do seem to be used somewhat interchangeably.

damn man that sounds bad. I used to take nexium couple years back but that shit got too expensive. Think it was 65 bux for a 30day supply. It didnt help as much as the money at the time. Think im fine with some antacids for now.

I get it a little, but I just know what foods to avoid at this point.
Garlic chicken wings are my favorite "flavor", but I can't eat them without wanting to die later that night.

I just eat a fuckload of Rolaids. Prilosec works as well but I usually just chew Rolaids and Tums. I take them everyday.

What happens if you don't take it? The prolongued use of proton pump inhibitors (such as Prilosec) has been associated with oral and gastric cancer occurence so switching between drugs might be good

I have indigestion constantly and my diet is really healthy. I hate it, I pop tums a lot. My mom had a festering ulcer for years and had a great diet too. For me, its just cursed genetics.

I get it really bad, especially when i would try to exercise or sleep. So i was taking protonix everyday, and it helped so much. My insurance doesn't cover it anymore though, so i'm looking for a new med.

yeah shitty insurance and brand name bullshit. im good with some pepcid complete when needed.

The apple is just a temporary fix too man
Just like backing soda, Rolaids and Prilosec/Pepcid.
I have had my gall bladder removed and have to have something to reduce the bile going into my stomach and Prilosec works well. Nexium worked better but was to expensive.
There is no 'cure' for your ailment other than a drastic change in diet.

i once had acid so bad in my esophagus, I felt like I was having a heart attack all day for about a week straight. I could hardly even tolerate taking a sip of water it hurt so bad
the cure? kept taking mylanta/maalox? whichever one is liquid and makes a coating over your passages
of course that doesn't cure my body chemistry and it's reaction to the things I eat, but it made that horrible pain in my esophagus (which felt like it was my heart) go away (after continued dosage)
on another note, lately I've been noticing that any time I take tramadol, I get acid reflux, which surprised me.... so if you happen to take tramadol you should probably stop

I'd rather eat an apple instead of pharms any day. I didn't smoke weed today for the first time since fuck knows when and the acid seems to be somewhat under control  I still get the shitty feeling in my stomach but its weaksauce.
