I was talking about H's pronunciation when said alone - the same context as the Z in the title of the thread... y'know the thing that we're talking about?

you obviously wouldn't call a zebra a zedebra and you wouldn't call a hero a 'haichero'. but that's how the letters are pronounced on their own, haich and zed

whenever I'm in jolly old it just seems like people say cheers for any greeting :shrug: I guess I'm not hip with the lingo yet

p.s. all of the coffee and cigarettes I've ever tried in england were a mockery of what I've grown used to in America. when I get home I always run to the closest coffee shop to get a decent coffee and cigarette

all over really.. london, the midlands (boring as fuck), I've driven up to wales (unfortunately), newquay (was bitchin), brighton, I went scuba diving along the south western coast... most of the little towns I can't really remember the names of because I've been there like 14 times on various visits with family/friends

It's a quaint place aside from London which has a badass night life. it was kind of hard to find pot but I guess that's because I don't know anyone except a couple friends over there.

I love your food.. Plowman's Lunch is awesome, cornish pasties, sausage rolls, walkers crisps are good, branston pickel is bomb, and there's nothing like a good english breakfast to cure a hangover :drooling:

yeah the midlands, london and up north are pretty shitty, cornwall and the  far south west are probably my favorite places here.

ive never understood why people always visit london, its a urban shit hole :shrug: same with most of the major cities. the nightlife is the only good thing about these places, but i usually prefer a traditional pub over a nightclub anyway.

yeah the pubs are really nice to sit and have a drink with good friends/playing pool.. but I only know so few people there, I feel like an outcast when I walk in them sometimes.
It usually goes one of two ways: everyone's drunk and they accept me and ask questions about america OR everyone's drunk and they hate me for being american :lol:


I was surprised that a lot of women found my accent sexy :shrug:

I'm always confused with those differences. Like in the school our English teachers always got mad about students mixing up the two styles: "You can use either British or American but you have to choose one and systematically follow that one". And usually we knew both of the words, just not which one belongs to which. :crankey:

And then all those measures... when I've just learned that a pint is a bit more than half a liter there comes an American and tells that actually it's a bit less, like :wtf:
