My truck broke down and I need to get around town.........never drove one before but I found a deal on one for $450 which is affordable for me right now. These things look dangerous and really fun.
vento trinton for $450 on craigslist, made in china and retails $1599

That is lame.
This thing goes 40-50 mph and gets 100 mpg. For $800 that seems badass, dont even need plates or insurance just a license in cali.

Yeah scooters certainly save on the gas, and insurance as you also don't need insurance in my state either. It just sucks when it decides to rain.

Don't do it I bought a Kymco Agility in the hopes that I would use it to commute and thought it would be better. I was wrong.

I live in LA, and driving a little scooter that can't get its ass into gear is more dangerous than riding a regular motorcycle. Unless I lived in an area that was less densely populated I wouldn't think about riding in a open vehicle again. Plus scooters are kind of gay unless you are a college student.
