whats a better way to germinate????
What type of soil is best?
any suggestions on organic nutes to beef up the quality?? I have a couple kind nugger seeds, but the majority is just regular buds,..Ive germinated in the past with just a wet paper towel and a few days..brand new to the civilized world of growing..not trying to do a major operation..just a plant or two for myself.

A lot of people here use Fox Farm Ocean Forest. It's a great soil. If the paper towel method has work for you in the past, then I say go with it. What works, is the best method in my opinion.

thanks mate..ive germinated seeds by just foling them in a wet paper towel, and just wetting it by the day to keep moisture up, never knew anything about how long the tap root should be or any of that, i just kept em in till the shell busted open and then dropped em in the soil..sometimes I've start em in something small, but most times i dont want to transplant anything at all for fear of it being shocked to death..good to see such a wealth of knowledge here..thanks alot guy!!

Ocean Forest FTW. I use FoxFarm Grow Big and Tiger Bloom for my nutes. Right now I'm growing lowryder II and I premixed some bat guano with ocean forest soil. The plant is loving it!

It would seem advisable to place the folded and wetted paper towel in a plastic baggie to retain moisture. This merely requires only a bit more diligence as it can get mildewy if left too long.

I'm into hydro, so I put my seeds right into a rapid rooter plug. From there I place the plug into a seed tray and let them sit under CFL's (24hr light) untill the sprout.
Fox Farm has great products. If you do anything outside they have an additive that has fish oil in it. I use Big Bloom for my hydro setup.
Good luck.
