What do the buds smell like?...
I have some bud that I know is legit Purple Kush at the moment and it has a very pronounced fruity/berry aroma, with a pine smell underneath. The first time I took a smell of the buds I was amazed, has an unreal sweet berry like smell.

Hmm.. It might not be purple kush than, its not really a fruity odor, though it smells soooo good... I thought it was kush because of the form of the buds, all the weed has small purple spots, I wish I knew exactly what it was!!

If you are familiar with a variety of strains you can at least get an idea of what might be in the genetics from the aroma, taste, bud structure, and the type of high it induces.

Ya well the bud structure reminds me kush a bit, but if it is kush, I don't think its like pure kush, maybe some hybrid, there's definitely some purple spots on all the buds, but I think any kind of weed can be mixed with purple, I am no expert, still need to learn a lot about that  Though some buds are really big, I think kush buds are rarely that big, just look at that one next to the lighter, its fuckin huge!
But the weed is totally incredible... I love it!

Here the most common weed is M39, almost always chemical like shit, hard to smoke, it is not even fun... But right now I got a good contact for lots of "exotic strains" as we call them here (Exo for short)

This thread is awesome! I love keeping pictures of my bud pick ups too. It looks like almost all the weed that you get is grown outdoors. which is weird cause the harvest season is just upon us. i wish i could try some. I also wish my fellow growerites could smoke the shit that is easily available out here.

The outdoor batches I get are Freezeland, so it can only grow outdoor here, you can probably try it indoor but it would be fucked up imo

first is an unknown strain, second pic is some Lemon Jack (referring to Gaskelort's post), last 1 is a medical strain called Jean-Guy Kush (wich I got from a random guy)

Your Jack Frost seems to have more trichromes than the one I had, which barely had any, but otherwise, the buds looks pretty much the same. All the weed derived from the strain Jack are pretty much my fav, I love it's taste, the way the buds are, the smell, the high, it's like perfect for school!

Pink Kush (thats my roommate's buds, he bought 3.5g at the same time I bought 7g, but I didn't have anymore left to take picture of, he still had these buds)

Actually the humidity allows the hash to be maleable, not solid, I prefer it that way, I mean humidity because I put the kief in a plastic bag, then roll it up as tight as I can, roll that in newspapper as tight as I can, then I add water to the newspapper so its totally wet, then down in the oven, then pression, then freezer, makes incredible wonders!

It can be malleable when you heat it up. I strongly recommend you don't add humidity.
But to each their own I guess.

Well, haven't posted a while but here is the most recent batch I've had, I don't know the name of it tho it smells very similar to purple kush, the taste is a bit different tho. I believe it to be an hybrid sativa dominant considering the strong mental high that occurs.

I just got some Blue cheese about an hour ago, really eager to try that! Unfortunately, here where we live, we don't have as much access to a selection as we'd like and end up getting whatever is available... Often biker weed...
